The sunshine region
Mapua has some of the highest sunshine hours in New Zealand. Situated halfway between the city of Nelson and town of Motueka it is an ideal location to rest a while, relaxing in the friendly village or strolling the foreshore of Tasman Bay.
It is also a perfect place from which to venture into the regions National Parks. Abel Tasman National Park, Kahurangi National Park, Nelson Lakes National Park and Mount Richmond Forest Park are all within an easy hours drive.
